This role focuses on push-in classroom support during ELA instruction, helping students strengthen reading comprehension, writing skills, and vocabulary development throughout the school day.

What You’ll Do

As a Simply Ed Middle School ELA Teacher’s Assistant, you will:

Provide push-in classroom support during Grades 6–8 ELA instruction.
Support teachers in delivering engaging, standards-aligned literacy lessons.
Offer one-on-one and small group academic support.
Reinforce reading comprehension strategies, writing development, and vocabulary growth.
Help manage classroom routines and foster an inclusive learning environment.
Monitor student progress and share observations with teachers and staff.
Attend required training sessions and staff meetings.

Who We’re Looking For

Experienced with children (formally or informally) — school experience preferred, but training is provided.
Currently pursuing or holding a bachelor’s degree in Education, English, or a related field.
Able to adapt to different learning environments and student needs.
Cleared (or eligible for clearance) through DOE PETS background check and fingerprinting.
Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
