What You’ll Do
As a Simply Ed After-School ELA Teacher's Assistant, you will:
- Provide push-in classroom support during one instructional period.
- Lead after-school small groups using Simply Ed’s structured ELA test readiness curriculum (beginning at 2:20 PM).
- Offer one-on-one and small group reading and writing support to students.
- Reinforce literacy skills, vocabulary development, and comprehension strategies.
- Help manage classroom routines and foster an inclusive, supportive learning environment.
- Assist with organizing materials and preparing instructional resources.
- Monitor student progress and share observations with teachers and staff.
- Collaborate with educators to meet student needs.
- Attend required training sessions and staff meetings.
Who We’re Looking For

- Experienced with children (formally or informally) — school experience preferred, but training is provided.
- Currently pursuing or holding a bachelor’s degree in Education, English, or a related field.
- Able to adapt to different learning environments and student needs.
- Cleared (or eligible for clearance) through DOE PETS background check and fingerprinting.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
