What You’ll Do

As a Simply Ed Middle School ELA Teacher’s Assistant, you will:

Provide push-in classroom support for Grades 6–8 ELA.
Support ELA teachers in delivering engaging lessons and literacy activities.
Provide one-on-one and small group reading and writing support to students.
Reinforce comprehension strategies, vocabulary development, and writing skills.
Help manage classroom routines and foster an inclusive, safe learning environment.
Assist with organizing materials, preparing instructional resources, and supporting grading needs.
Monitor student progress and share observations with the teacher.
Collaborate with educators and staff to meet student learning needs.
Attend training sessions and staff meetings as required.

Currently pursuing or holding a bachelor’s degree in Education, English, or a related field.
Able to adapt to different learning environments and student needs.
Cleared (or eligible for clearance) through DOE PETS background check and fingerprinting.
Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
